MSCAR Abstract Submission

The 5th annual Midwest Student Conference on Atmospheric Research (MSCAR) will be held virtually on September 25th - 26th, 2021. We are currently accepting abstract submissions for talks through Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 11:59 PM CT. We are accepting abstract submissions for posters through September 22nd, 2021 at 11:59 PM CT. Information including registration, abstract submissions, and the schedule of events is posted on the conference website. There is no abstract submission fee.

This cross-disciplinary conference is open to any interested undergraduate and graduate students in atmospheric sciences, meteorology, or related disciplines. Virtual presentations (both oral and poster) are invited from a variety of topics, including, but not limited to:

  • Severe Weather and Convection
  • Remote Sensing of the Earth and Atmosphere
  • Cloud Physics and Atmospheric Chemistry
  • Climate Variability and Land-Atmosphere Interactions
  • Biogeochemical Forcing Affecting Climate Processes
  • Hydrology
  • Agriculture
  • Hazard Communications
  • and more!

Any questions regarding abstracts should be directed to tzaremb2@illinois.edu or hmm2@illinois.edu. Notification of the outcome of abstract submission will be made after September 8th. In order to present, you must be registered for the conference. The registration form can be found on our website: www.atmos.illinois.edu/mscar
