2026 Linux Clusters Institute Advanced Workshop

The Linux Clusters Institute (LCI) will hold an Advanced-level workshop for Linux system administrators with some experience who want to expand their skills. In just three days you will:
- Strengthen your knowledge of networking fundamentals for HPC environments.
- Explore Ethernet and IPv4 in depth, including the OSI model, network topologies, essential services, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Develop practical knowledge of InfiniBand, including its physical layer, software tools, security, and Unified Fabric Manager (UFM).
- Gain exposure to RoCE, IPv6, and WAN technologies.
- Build hands-on troubleshooting skills using Wireshark and insights from experienced HPC networking professionals.
Those who have attended an LCI Intermediate Workshop in the past are especially encouraged to attend!
Prerequisite: One year of experience with cluster administration

NOTE: If you plan to submit an application for the Charlie Bender Scholarship, do NOT register for the workshop until after you have submitted your application, a decision has been made, and you have been notified. This will take place well in advance of the early registration deadline.
